Coaching Fan-Controlled Football: I’d like to tell you that it’s all easy to do. However, just because it’s on my terms does not mean everything is on autopilot. So that what I’ve noticed is growing in this profession is a never-ending process of constant discovery and improvement on so many levels, while additional sacrifices are usually being made by yourself and others in your life.

Designing Your Day: We compromise our ability to decide what’s relevant. And as a result, we waste time processing useless information. So that is called attention residue. And over an entire day, it can stack up and it will completely make what you thought was going to be a great day for you becomes a hectic day. You start wondering at the end of the day, what in the world did I even accomplish? So we may stay busy, but we lose ground on our most important work. So I think that is the key today to understand because the solution is going to be to design your work day. So you can focus on just one thing at a time.

Deep Work: I read a book by Cal Newport called Deep Work. And it dawned on me that I could save hours upon hours in my typical workweek, with a concept that he called mega batching. So here’s what I want you to know, mega batching gives you the freedom to focus for a long time on a single project. Because of that deep focus, you can crank out a ton of work much more quickly, and at a way higher level of quality.
