The Quick Screen is a strategic play intended to swiftly release the ball from the Quarterback’s possession within 1.3 seconds. Hence, its name “Quick” screen. This play targets the front side and is commonly employed right after an explosive play, catching the defense off guard. It proves effective both towards the boundary and across the field.
I have to give my friend Mike Leach credit for this one as we have exchanged ideas late at night and this play works perfectly in the TSO!
